new 3G iPhone ... we only waited in line about 20-25 minutes...
DH waited in line a couple hours yesterday, but had to walk away empty handed ... :(
but we have one now ... yay... it holds SOOO much more ... i can have several movies (for when i'm bored at work) and lots of songs ..
yay!!

I unfortunately can't justify the money and don't need the "data plan" so I will be sticking with my yr old hacked 1.0 iphone even with the release here in Canada. Plus it's neat to know that I have an "original" and have had it since it's only been a glint in the eye of some Canadians.
yeah, i really couldnt justify the cost either, but dammit if DH gets one, i get one too!!!
its actually a tad bigger than the original and a slippery bugger!! my old one's sleeve was broken, so im not even taking new one out until we can get a sleeve... im HORRIBLE on dropping them.
i heard the data plan in canada is outrageously expensive... that sucks. its actually not much more for 3G down here.
I have a "speck" case on mine (I think that's what it's called) gives it a nice good grip hold because they are slippery devils that's for sure.
Yes, the data plan here is outrageous. I can't remember what it was originally but due to the overwhelming response of people to Rogers telling them to go F*** themselves they have dropped it temporarily (we'll see how long that promotion lasts) to an additional $30/month on top of whatever voice/etc plan you have. Our voice plans are WAY more money up here too, it's redonculous. I wish we had a similar cell phone system to the US. Damn gov't needs to fix this.
I don't pay for my cell plan as it is (work pays for it for me at the moment) but I don't think I could justify to them the extra $30 a month. I figure if I've been using my phone for a year hacked w/o Data then it can stay that way.
