31 July - food

breakfast
2 eggs over easy
2 sausage patties

8 1/8 pounds

up, not down.

time to recommit. i guess i will do low carb to see what will happen then.

i have been pushing my friend the band to it's limits. i wonder if it will forgive me and start helping me again?

my goal - 40 pounds in 2 months 8 days. not sure if i can do it but i am going to try my hardest. that will bring me to 150 pounds gone my first year after having the lap band placed.

downward spiral

food has once again become my focus. this is not a good thing at all.

i am fighting the restriction that my tool provides. i eat, work through the initial discomfort and keep eating.

this weekend was completely out of control. DH and i split a meal for two (it really is a meal for 3 but the restaurant says 2...)

1 10+ oz steak
5to7 ounces of sausage
about 6 ounces of grilled pork
salad
plantains (fried)
some sort of potato that was fried
potato strings
rice
beans

and of course they had a nutella cake that i alone consumed (minus about 2 bites from DH and DD).

all i think about is food and where my next meal is going to come from. i have lost and gained the same 6 - 8 pounds for over a month.

i need help but dont want to ask for it on LBT - i feel like a major failure. i rarely visit there anymore simply because i do not want to seem like the ultimate hypocrite - giving suggestions and not following my own advice.

i dont know what to do.

WHY do i do this????? cause it is in my house ... getting rid of it ... pitching it, DH's work, whatever ... i have to get it out of the house.

worked out this morning. it was very tough getting out of bed though. it really helps having something to "do" while i am on the beasts ... watched The Starter Wife, it made me go longer on the elliptical than i have in quite awhile.

breakfast burrito 1/3 of it

  • scrambled egg
  • beef (not sure what kind it was)
  • chipolte sauce
  • tomatoes
less than 1/4 buttermilk spice muffin
hot chocolate - BIG mug
1/2 glass of grapefruit juice

"snack"
venti chai frap from Starbucks (no whipped cream)
"snack 2"
several (7-8ish) mini brownies

dinner will more than likely be thai. not sure though.

gee - wonder why i'm not losing weight .. i need some tough love.

starting my version of Atkins (yes, again) tomorrow.

had a work out with my trainer today along with 1.85 miles on the elliptical. worked with the wiiiii for just a couple of minutes.

July goals

it helps if you write your goals down.
i want to lose 25 pounds in July and this is how i plan to do it.

  • eat primarily low carb
    • ideally 10 gm carbs, 20 absolute maximum (per day)
    • if i go off plan, pick myself back up same day
      • work K/E for 3 days if i go off plan
  • exercise 4 times a week absolute minimum
    • 30 minutes cardio minimum
    • crunches !!!!! aim for 3 sets of 15 a day (both regular and twists)
  • minimum of 60 ounces of water / crystal light a day
  • days i do not work out, play on the wii for 20+ minutes
