all i can say is WOW, holy crap it works!
its a book that has brought peace to our house. DD (she's 4 going on 15) is very .... hmmm, strong willed ... yeah, that's a great description...
i always used to count, but it was to 5 and i would get SO frustrated and angry... with the help of this book, i count to three ... the emotion is taken out of it ... we've been working on it for a week and i've yet to reach 'three'... there have been a few serious offenses that are automatic time out (she jumps on our dog - tries to 'ride' him, smacks a dog, etc...) but that's the only time outs she's served... it used to be at least 2 times a day and sometimes they would last forever due to her fighting it....
sooooo, if you have someone 2-12, i highly recommend this book... even if your children are 'little angels'... i think most parents will find something in this book.

I never got the book but my dd learned 1,2,3 at pre-school and we've picked it up. She's about to turn 10 and it STILL works. The thing is, as much as she HATES to do what she's told, she hates to "lose" more and she perceived me getting to three as "losing".
