well i wasnt even a mile into my walk and my shins started aching...
dammit.
my pace was SLOW.. turtles were passing me.. yes, it was that bad.

Take or leave my advice, but perhaps now you've had your TT, maybe your stance/stride/movement is different and you might need a pair of new shoes. It coulld be that your old ones are worn for how you walked/ran before with your pannus to support, and that might be causing the shin probs. Maybe!
