i failed the 1 hour glucose tolerance test... i am a lucky ducky and get to take the 3 hour test tomorrow... DH is going to take 1/2 day off work to watch DD... there's no way she would survive 3+ hours at the doc's office - although she was excellent today for the hour.

hopefully i dont have gestational diabetis (sp??) ... if i do, i guess i've eaten my last bit of cheesecake for awhile...

DH and I are not big fans of 'sport' type apparel for boys (no baseball/football prints, etc..) i dunno what it is, we just dont care for it...

since registering yesterday, i noticed quite a few items (ok, MOST items) have sporty themes, so we put this as a comment on our registry ... we just dont want someone buying something we will not put Tigger in ...

but i was thinking last night ... does this sound pretentious or something?

not that i'm really having a boy... not that i know anything... no clue (next ultrasound Tuesday)
this is less than half of what is left of my daughter's closet... the clothes that do not fit her any longer... yup, lotsa pink, lotsa girly dresses... the piles on the floor are over 18 inches high each...
yup, over 1/2 her closet still needs to be cleaned out - still... huge green tubs (2 or 3) still need to be gone through... guess i know what we'll be doing this week.

stubborn is an understatement..

well since Friday I haven't really felt Tigger move much.. a couple
kicks on Saturday morning about 6, but nothing the rest of the day and
all last night... even his 'active' periods between 3-315 & 6 am...

so yeah, I was really concerned and called my OB... "go right to
labor & delivery (L&D) NOW..."

so at 7am, we were off to L&D... the nurse hooked me up right away -
once we actually FOUND L&D... got a nice heartbeat and about 2 min
later... thump thump... didn't feel it, but we heard it on the
monitor... a couple min after that I felt the thump... didn't really
feel a lot, but we heard them. so she gave me some orange juice..
felt a few thumps and off I went... she gave me a few tips on how to
get him moving.. if it doesn't work come in again... hopefully we
won't be back until February...

is this selfish/stupid?

DH's family lives in Canada.. (they don't really like me per se cause
i'm not Chinese... *eyeroll*)... so needless to say, I was THRILLED
when they got 'web chat' and wanted to chat with DH via webcam... I
didn't really want anything to do with it... and since I was sore
from my massage (elbow deep tissue massage to shoulders) I took a warm
shower...

I come out and really hope they are finished... they were... he then
proceeds to tell me that his cousin and his wife are expecting their
2nd child... February 18th... WTF... I'm due the 13th... I don't
really know exactly what pisses me off... maybe because we're just
now finding out?? (DH's parents see them weekly)..

now this is really pathetic but now I'm really hoping for a boy for us
(this will be their second girl - boys are SOO important to the
culture and if Tigger's a boy, he would be the first...)

hmmm.... pretty cool...

so i'm 6 1/2 months pregnant this week (almost 27 weeks - will be on Friday)...

it's chilly and rainy in Texas today... the house just feels, i dunno ... damp... we have 2 very shedding dogs so i mostly hang around in jeans and a t-shirt... the only mat jeans i have are capris and well, with this weather, it just doesnt work very well...

so i'm digging through my closet looking for some casual pants to keep my poor legs warm -- i think im the only preggo that isnt always warm.. i find an old pair of running pants (old meaning from Mar/April after my PS...) i figure my t-shirt is huge so i can just cover up my belly with the shirt... the pants fit... even in the belly... size 18 pants... hmm... not bad. :)

248 am and yup, im awake

ok, this is just getting ridiculous... its like im not even tired...

i was just lying there in bed and all that was happening was my left shoulder was getting sore... so i tried to kinda lay on my tummy ... not fully on it, but enough to ease the shoulder ... Tigger would not have that one bit... was like "HEY... get off of me!!!"

i may need to find my wedge that i bought when i had plastics ... dunno how that will help, but maybe it will...

442 and i cant sleep ... we keep a fan on in the bedroom as a 'noise detractor' of sorts... (barking dogs - neighbors, snoring dogs - ours, snoring spouse, etc...) well i woke up and literally coudl not breathe through my nose... stupid fan wasnt even pointed towards me ... almost an hour after i turned off the fan and i still cant freaking breathe... of course as soon as i turned off the fan, neighbor dog started barking...

so now i'm awake. fun times...

I am SOOOOO unfilled... had Vietnamese soup for lunch.. I NEVER eat
it all (beef & vermacelli noodles)... today I ate all of mine and

how would you react?

most of you know my DH is Chinese...

a few times a month we go to an 'authentic' Chinese restaurant for
lunch (dim sum)...

the way dim sum works is they bring small meals to your table and put
a stamp on your paper for the price and you pay when you are finished...

today the table next to us ordered the same dish I wanted... just out
of curiosity, I looked at what they were charged... they were charged
price C, we were charged price D (about 50 cents more)... their table
was all Chinese people, we obviously were not... DH doesn't think
it's a big deal, it now has me wondering what else and how many times
have we been charged differently??!

so one of the very pregnant mods on LBT said she was REALLY tight
towards the end and couldn't get an unfill due to her port, etc...

well everyone who reads this blog knows how much I LOVE to eat.... so
not eating at the end of my pregnancy is not an option...

so I visited my OB yesterday to make sure my uterus was out of the way
and I'm now almost completely unfilled... 1cc in there...

hopefully the weight won't start piling on now.... I'm down 12lbs
since my slight unfill in August... we'll see what happens now

yummie recipe...

Chicken & Cheese Manicotti...
- uncooked manicotti noodles
- thin chicken strips (as many strips as you want manicotti OR more if you want some not in the manicotti)
- sprinkle of garlic salt
- string cheese (half the amount you want for manicotti
- jarred tomato sauce - any variety you like
- 3/4 cup water
- shredded mozzarella cheese (we used moz/parm cheese)

make sure chicken strips are thin enough to fit in a manicotti shell with cheese stuffed in it as well

preheat oven to 350F

stuff manicotti shells with chicken and HALF (lengthwise) of a cheese stick
fill all the manicotti shells

mix the jarred pasta sauce with the water, pour some in the bottom of a baking dish, just enough to barely cover the bottom.

lay stuffed shells on top of the sauce, then cover the shells with the remaining sauce/water mixture.

i had extra cheese and chicken, i just placed it in the dish and covered it with sauce.

cover the pan TIGHTLY with foil
bake for 60 minutes
top with the shredded cheese, bake an additional 5 or until the shredded cheese has melted.

pretty easy and good (leftovers are even better!)

restaurant... we've visited before, but it was my first time getting
the chicken parm... it was AMAZING!!!! ate damn near all of it..

160 pounds... i lost my DH... lol...

in celebration of my bandiversary, my band decided to be nice to me ... we went to Nagoya... it's a Japanese restaurant where they cook at your table. i had scallops (3), shrimp (a couple) and some yummie yummie steak and it was perfect. oh i also have some carrot cake in the fridge... yummie! LOVE LOVE LOVE carrot cake .. cream cheese icing... oh dear!!

it was a really great day... my daughter and i had an absolute blast during the day and it was just perfect. life is grand! :)

my DD is a total goob...

she had a cheese stick for snack... she was in the kitchen.... she comes out ... tongue out and palms up...

all i can say is WOW, holy crap it works!

its a book that has brought peace to our house. DD (she's 4 going on 15) is very .... hmmm, strong willed ... yeah, that's a great description...

i always used to count, but it was to 5 and i would get SO frustrated and angry... with the help of this book, i count to three ... the emotion is taken out of it ... we've been working on it for a week and i've yet to reach 'three'... there have been a few serious offenses that are automatic time out (she jumps on our dog - tries to 'ride' him, smacks a dog, etc...) but that's the only time outs she's served... it used to be at least 2 times a day and sometimes they would last forever due to her fighting it....

sooooo, if you have someone 2-12, i highly recommend this book... even if your children are 'little angels'... i think most parents will find something in this book.

i have a follow up appt in 2 weeks for a BP check... i know hypertension is common in pregnancy, but at 19 weeks 3 days?? im not even half way there yet. i had a semi stressful morning trying to get DD ready and putting the hound up in his crate (escaped and i had to corral him back in) so i'm hoping its just some sort of fluke.... i hope cause ummm, if i have to go on any sort of bedrest, i'm screwed cause DD is with me full time now...

18 weeks today!!! :)

i work with bitches...

since i gave my 2 weeks notice at work, the 2 women (little girls actually *eyeroll*) have not said a word to me... they are pissed at me cause i quit right before the real busy time at work (our ONE busy time a month...) heh... tough crap. i couldnt handle it again ...

they are just making my decision soooo much easier ...

of course, one of them was printing something out that didnt work (she didnt paste special picture something or other)... it printed black instead of the picture... she WANTS to ask me how to fix it but hasnt yet... not sure if i'll remember how to do it anyway... yeah, imabitch too...

7 years ago today.. even though its so difficult to remember, we MUST remember and not let it happen again.

when the first plane hit, i was on my way to work. i had no clue it had even happened. my work had pulled a TV into the lobby and i saw the second plane hit as i entered the building.

i was working for TWA (Trans World Airlines) who had recently been purchased by American Airlines - you know - flights 11 and 77.

incredibly tragic. so so so SO tragic. i hope the victim's families are dealing with this. i cannot even fathom what they are going through.

it's just so sad.

this sucks!! woke up about 1245 to go pee and have been awake ever since...

DH cant sleep either....

i've been on vacation from work for the past 2 days and tomorrow i have to go back, im thinking that's a contributing factor.... only 3 more work days. tomorrow is going to be boring as all hell... but i have 3 movies (footloose, pretty in pink & breakfast club) on my iPhone so that'll kill about 6 hours. at least friday morning should be kinda busy and monday will (hopefully) be a quick day cause i have my 'big' ultrasound that morning... and it's one of the 4 busy days of the month.... AND my last day! yay!!! !!!!!! !!!!!!!

ok, i need to finish synching my iphone then try to get back to sleep...
