Ugh, does she believe him?
Well, since the little shit doesn't believe, then I guess Santa doesn't bring him any presents this year, does he?
And since there "is no Santa" and presents are given by your loved ones based on how good you are...he wasn't very good to tell DD that. Therefore, he again gets no presents.
